Why do I hide my work so no one can give feedback?

You have built a wall around your work on purpose. If no one sees it until it is finished, no one can question it, and that feels safe. But look at what that safety costs you. You lose the chance to make the work better while it can still change. Ask yourself what you are really protecting. Usually it is not the work, it is the fear of hearing that you were wrong. That fear is understandable, but hiding does not remove the risk of being wrong. It only removes your chance to fix it in time. Try one small crack in the wall. Pick one person you trust and show them something before it is done. Not the whole thing, just a piece. Let their reaction be information, not a verdict. You will find that feedback early is a gift, not an attack.
