Why does my team work around me instead of with me?
This one stings, and it is worth sitting with the sting rather than rushing past it. Your team has learned that involving you costs them something, whether it is delay, stress, or a sudden change of direction late in the game. So they made a rational choice. They route around the thing that slows them down. That thing, right now, is you. This is painful, but it is also useful information, because it tells you exactly what to fix. You do not have a loyalty problem. You have a friction problem. Somewhere, bringing you in has been more expensive than leaving you out, and they have simply added it up. Ask a trusted member of the team, plainly and without defensiveness: what makes it hard to involve me? Then listen without fixing or explaining. Whatever you hear, pick the one thing you can change and change it. When involving you gets cheaper, they will start choosing to include you again.
