What does it mean when my body keeps getting sick and how do I understand what it's telling me?
Repeated illness is often your body's way of asking for something. Not in a punishing way—in a listening way. When you're constantly catching colds or dealing with lingering infections, it's worth pausing to notice what's happening in your whole life, not just your symptoms. Sometimes it's exhaustion. You can't rest your way out of a lifestyle that demands too much. Sometimes it's that you're not digesting your food well, or your sleep is fragmented. Sometimes your nervous system is stuck in a pattern of worry or overwhelm, and that affects everything. I've found that people who get recurrently sick often haven't learned to say no, or to stop before they're completely depleted. The body says what the voice won't. Start by noticing the pattern. When do you get sick? What's happening in your life then? Are you rested? Are you eating in a way your body can actually use? Are you moving gently, or only pushing hard? Then make one real change. Not perfection—just honesty. Maybe it's protecting your sleep, or eating more slowly, or moving your body without forcing it. Your immune system will respond to genuine care. Listen to what the sickness is pointing toward, and address that. That's how your body learns it can trust you to listen.
