Humanistic psychology, through Maslow, Rogers, and their lineage, asserts that human beings have an inherent drive toward growth, authenticity, and the full expression of their capacities. Self-actualization is not a peak to be reached but a direction of travel — a continuous movement toward greater integration, creativity, and contact with reality. The Sutras share this teleological vision: the path is not toward transcendence of the human but toward the fullest realization of awareness within it.
Each step builds on the last.
