Knowledge as Liberation and Resistance

Sor Juana's intellectual life was fundamentally an act of resistance: through learning, reading, and writing, she refused the diminishment imposed on women and created possibility for a different kind of life. This concept reframes education as more than skills acquisition or economic preparation; it is liberation. Knowledge is not neutral information but power; it shapes consciousness and possibility. By ensuring children have access to liberatory knowledge, communities affirm their right to understand the world and to imagine themselves as agents capable of creating just futures.
