A Taoist approach suggests that integrity isn't about enforcing uniformity but recognizing that diverse expressions of truth align with deeper principles. Knowledge systems should: provide access to multiple perspectives on any question, create spaces where different views directly encounter each other, help readers trace how different positions arise from common human concerns, and develop methods for distinguishing between lies and sincere disagreement. The single path appears as many variations depending on the traveler's vantage point. This isn't relativism—truth remains truth—but recognition that understanding emerges through dialogue between different perspectives, not suppression of dissent. Democratization perfects itself when a reader can encounter genuine disagreement, follow the reasoning of those they don't agree with, and develop personal integrity through confronting complexity rather than consuming pre-digested certainty.
