The demographic or linguistic shift visible now will reshape society five years hence. This approach requires receptive attention rather than predictive calculation. It honors Taoist non-action by reading what's already happening rather than imposing imagined futures. Applied practice: create a regular practice of anomaly-tracking—what's appearing that shouldn't, what's disappearing that should remain—and trace each back to the future it indicates.
