But when tokens circulate as genuine value exchange, mediating real work and trust, they become living vessels of flow. The best tokenomic designs study natural circulation patterns: how much flows in versus out, where blockages form, what incentivizes movement. Inflationary tokens that distribute widely create more flow than hoarded supplies. Staking mechanisms that reward participation without creating permanent hierarchies follow the Taoist principle of returning to the root. The sage tokenomist designs not to control flow, but to enable it—removing friction, aligning incentives, and trusting that value naturally circulates when channels are clear.
