The Heart's Own Language

Recognizing and expressing love in ways unique to your temperament rather than prescribed romantic formulas.

Mira
Why It Matters

Mirabai's devotion expressed through ecstatic dance, poetry, and direct address to the Divine—not through conventional temple ritual. She spoke in her heart's own language. Many struggle in relationships because they're performing someone else's idea of love: sending expected flowers, saying scripted compliments, following relationship advice that contradicts their nature. The Heart's Own Language asks: How do I actually express care? What makes me feel loved? What does devotion naturally look like from me? Some people communicate love through acts of service, others through words, others through presence or creativity. Mirabai didn't conform to expected widow behavior; she couldn't, because authentic devotion demanded she be herself. In Communication in love, this means discovering your authentic love language and teaching your partner to receive love as you naturally give it. It means honoring their language too, even if different from yours. This prevents the exhaustion of performing love and invites genuine, sustainable expression—where what you offer matches who you actually are.
