Love as Breaking Chain

Rabia al-Adawiyya taught love not as sentiment but as radical presence—a state of consciousness where the beloved (and by extension, all beings) are seen without judgment or condition. In the context of intergenerational trauma, this love becomes a breaking mechanism: when we love our children, parents, or ancestors without demand for redemption or revenge, we interrupt the cycle of emotional debt and expectation.
