Unschooling begins with the radical proposition that curiosity, if not extinguished, is sufficient engine for a full education. Done well, it requires tremendous parental presence, intentionality, and courage against social pressure; done carelessly, it fails the child it meant to serve. The question underneath is real: what is education for, and who decided this particular shape was the only one?
