Knowledge + Guidance

How do we actually register and structure our business?

You keep calling this a knowledge problem. It is not. You already know enough to start: sole proprietorship, LLC, register, tax ID. What stops you is the fear of choosing wrong. Choosing wrong feels safer to avoid than it does to risk. If you are building this with others, the paperwork is not the real danger. The danger is delaying the hard conversation — who owns what, who decides what — until money or conflict forces it. Decide that now, while it costs nothing. A business exists the day you register it, not the day it feels ready. Choose a structure this week. You can change it later. You cannot get back the months you spend waiting to feel certain.

The steps to register are simple facts to learn, but the real obstacle is a decision people keep avoiding, so guidance carries nearly equal weight.

What’s really going on

You do not need a perfect plan. You need a legal one, now. Pick the simplest structure that fits: sole proprietorship or LLC. Register with your state. Get a tax ID. Open a business account. Waiting for certainty is just fear wearing the mask of diligence.
