I can close the deal. Why don't I know how to grow it?
You know how to close. That's proven — you've done it more than once. But once the contract is signed, you go quiet, and so does the relationship. This isn't a mystery. It's a different kind of work, and so far you haven't chosen to do it. Growing an account isn't one big move. It's the habit of showing up when nothing is on fire — asking what's changed, noticing what they haven't said, fixing a small problem before they ask. Most people skip this because it feels like nothing is happening. Something is always happening. You don't have to watch this alone. Your pod can see the account you're avoiding faster than you can see it yourself. Let them ask the question you're not asking: when did you last talk to this customer, and why has that gap grown?
Closing is one choice, made once. Growing an account is many small choices, repeated — the check-in you didn't skip, the problem you solved before it had a name. You already know how to do this. You are choosing not to, because follow-through is quieter than the close.
What changes unlock by starting
- You build a repeatable rhythm for reaching customers instead of waiting for them to call.
- Your pod holds you to follow-through, not just good intentions.
- You see account growth as kept promises, not a fresh pitch.
- You stop losing accounts to silence you never meant to create.
