I've been every voice but my own — what now?
You can do almost any voice but your own. For years you have become other people on command — clients, characters, brands, bosses. Now you sit with your own team, and you cannot tell which voice is actually yours. That is not strange. It is what happens when a skill gets used every day, and a self does not. You did not lose your voice in some collapse. You simply never gave it a job. The grief is real — something true is missing, not imagined. Working with others gives you an edge. A pod can hear what you cannot hear in yourself. Stop solving this alone in your head, where every voice sounds borrowed. Test your voice out loud, with people who will tell you the truth about it.
You did not lose yourself. You simply never asked your own voice to do anything. Stop mourning a self you never built. Choose one true sentence only you could say, say it to the people working beside you this week, and build from there. That is the whole task.
What changes unlock by starting
- You can name three specific moments this month where you spoke as yourself, not as a performance.
- Your pod can tell the difference between your craft and your actual voice — and so can you.
- You stop treating the grief as a mystery and start treating it as a task with steps.
- You produce one piece of work, written or spoken, that is undeniably yours.
