Who refills me when I'm the one everyone leans on?
You give people back their strength, day after day, year after year. Somewhere in that work you assumed the emptying would even itself out. It has not. You are tired in a way rest alone does not touch, and no one has stepped forward to do for you what you do for them. That is not a conspiracy against you. It is what happens when one person becomes the source and never names a source for themselves. You built a role, not a well. A well needs someone to dig it on purpose — including your own. Your pod cannot read your exhaustion from the outside. Say the plain thing: 'I have been pouring out, and no one has been pouring in.' Let them hear it, and let them hold you to a practice, not just sympathy.
No one is coming to restore you the way you restore others — that imbalance will not fix itself. You must schedule your own repair with the same seriousness you give clients, and say the need out loud to your pod. The help you need is structural, not sentimental.
What changes unlock by starting
- You stop treating your own exhaustion as a problem to hide.
- You have one standing hour a week that is yours, protected, and named.
- Your pod knows how to ask about you specifically, not just in general.
- You catch yourself before the next unpaid rescue — and choose differently.
