Why Don't I Understand My Own Numbers?

Be honest with yourself. The numbers are not the problem. Your avoidance of them is the problem. You have let the fear stand guard so you never have to look closely. That is a choice, even if it does not feel like one. A number is not a judgment on you. It is a fact, sitting there, waiting to be read. You can read it. You have read harder things. What you have not done is sit with it long enough, or asked the plain questions out loud, in front of people who might see you not know. This is why you do it with others. Alone, you will keep dodging. With your pod watching, you will finally ask the question you have swallowed for months. Let them see you learn. That is not weakness. That is the only way anyone learns anything real.
