You have enough but you're too afraid to ever spend it
By any honest measure you have enough, and still you cannot spend it. Every purchase feels dangerous, every comfort an extravagance you deny yourself. You live small and anxious atop resources you will not touch, and you wonder what all the guarding is even for.
This is worth examining, because a fear of spending amid plenty is its own quiet prison. Reason asks three things: what is the money actually for, since a sum only ever saved and never used yields you nothing and is barely yours; see that not spending is also a loss — the life underlived, the days spent instead of the replaceable money; and give yourself considered permission to use what you have on what genuinely matters. This is not recklessness but the completion of prudence, which exists to serve a good life, not to prevent one. Let the money finally do what it was gathered for. What would you use it for, if the fear let you?
