A large part of how I see myself comes from the name of where I work — its prestige is borrowed into my own identity. It means I cling to a job partly for the badge, and the thought of leaving the name frightens me more than leaving the work.After being inside, I don't know who I am on the outside or whether I get a real second chance.After time away from work, I feel like I've lost my edge and everyone's passed me by.After time out — for children, illness, or a pause — I have come back to work without the identity I left with.
