When gallery partners lose curatorial alignment

My business partner and I started our gallery three years ago with completely aligned vision and now we're arguing about every curatorial decision because we want to show different kinds of work and neither of us will admit that our tastes have diverged. We keep saying yes to artists we don't really believe in because we think that's what the other person wants, and I can see it's making our programming incoherent.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

Two people who built something together are avoiding the fundamental conversation about whether they still want to build the same thing.
