When creative partnerships develop unequal power dynamics over time

My studio co-founder has been making creative decisions without me lately and when I bring it up he says I'm being controlling, but clients specifically hired us as a team and I feel like he's pushing me out of my own business. We started this together but somehow I've become the operations person while he gets to be the creative visionary and I don't know how this happened or how to fix it without blowing everything up.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

A foundational relationship has quietly shifted into an imbalanced dynamic that neither person knows how to address without threatening what they've built together.
