When teaching partners have conflicting classroom management styles

My teaching partner and I have been team-teaching third grade for two years and we've developed completely different approaches to classroom management but we can't talk about it directly because she gets defensive whenever I bring up structure. Our kids are confused about expectations and I'm starting to undermine her in small ways rather than having the conversation we need to have.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

Professional partnerships require alignment on fundamental practices, but personal defensiveness is preventing the honest conversation needed to serve students effectively.
