When therapy co-facilitators disagree on treatment approach

My therapy partner and I have been co-facilitating group sessions for eight months and we've developed completely different philosophies about boundaries and intervention but we keep dancing around it in our debriefs instead of actually addressing how this is affecting our clients. I can see us pulling the group in different directions and I don't think we trust each other's judgment anymore.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

Professional partnerships in mental health require explicit alignment on core therapeutic values, but avoiding these conversations compromises both the relationship and client care.
