How to maintain accountability when your corrections cohort drifts from shared values

My training cohort from the academy stays in touch and we've watched each other change over five years in this work and some of us are becoming the kind of officers we said we'd never be and nobody wants to name it directly. We still meet monthly but the conversations have gotten surface-level and I think we're all afraid to hold each other accountable the way we promised we would.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

A group bound by shared ideals watches those ideals erode without the courage to name what's happening.
