How to address conversation dominance in peer support groups

Our leadership cohort meets monthly to support each other but one person dominates every conversation with their crisis-of-the-month and the rest of us have stopped sharing anything real because we know the time will get hijacked. I care about this person but I'm starting to dread these meetings and I can see others checking out too.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

When group dynamics enable one person's needs to consistently override collective needs, the group's stated purpose becomes compromised.
