Our newsroom just went through another round of layoffs and the remaining staff is pretending everything is fine while we're all doing twice the work and making more mistakes and nobody wants to admit that our coverage is suffering. We keep saying we'll maintain quality with fewer people but we're publishing stories that needed another day of reporting and we all know it but we're scared to say it out loud.
