Scenario

When peer support groups become performance spaces instead of honest forums

Our startup cohort has been meeting monthly for eighteen months and somewhere along the way it became a place where we just update each other on our wins rather than actually helping each other through the hard stuff. Everyone seems fine with this but I joined because I needed people who understood the real struggles and now I feel more isolated than before.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

A group has unconsciously shifted from vulnerability to validation, leaving members more isolated despite regular connection.
