When peer support groups become performance spaces instead of safe spaces

Our startup cohort meets monthly and everyone talks about their wins and challenges but there's this unspoken competition where nobody wants to admit when things are really bad. I've been struggling with some serious cash flow issues for two months but when it's my turn to share I keep giving optimistic updates because everyone else seems to be crushing it and I don't want to be the cautionary tale.
