When peer support groups become performance spaces

We're a leadership cohort that went through an executive program together and we meet monthly to support each other, but it's become a space where everyone shares their wins and asks for advice on safe topics while the real struggles we're facing as leaders never get discussed. I'm dealing with some serious team dysfunction and I know others are too but we've created this culture of appearing successful to each other.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

The group has unconsciously agreed to maintain professional facades rather than engage in the vulnerable work they originally intended.
