The district wants me to move faster, cover more, treat the class like a line of parts on a belt. But I still stop at each desk, still learn what each kid carries in, still give what I can before they move on. Every year the pressure tells me to just process them, and every year I quietly refuse.
More people experience this than they realize.
You keep truly seeing each child even as everything around you pushes you to just process them.
If this sounds familiar, the Library can help you find the bigger picture.
