The client wanted me to play on people's fear of being left behind, the cheap lever that always works. I pushed back and pitched the honest version instead, the one that shows what the product really does for someone who actually needs it. It's a harder sell and it might cost me the account, but I've decided I'll make truth appealing rather than manufacture a want that leaves people worse off.
More people experience this than they realize.
You refuse to manufacture false wants, choosing to make honest truth appealing even when it costs you.
