One-on-one, I can take hard feedback and actually work with it. But the second it happens in a room full of people, something slams shut in me; I go stiff, my face freezes, and I can't hear a word. Later, alone, I can finally think about what they said, but in the moment I'm just gone.
More people experience this than they realize.
You handle feedback fine in private but shut down completely when it comes in front of others.
If this sounds familiar, the Library can help you find the bigger picture.
