I'm good at keeping tasks moving, making sure the right things happen in the right order. But when people ask me to actually set the direction, to say where we should be going and why, I go quiet. Lining up the pieces is one thing. Deciding which game we're even playing across the whole place feels far above me, and I don't know how to step up into it.
More people experience this than they realize.
You can keep tasks on track, but setting real direction across the organization eludes you.
