When I can do my tasks but the whole store baffles me

I know my own jobs cold, the register, the stocking, the opening list. But how the whole store actually runs, the orders, the schedules, why we do half of what we do, is a mystery to me. When a customer asks something outside my little corner, I freeze and go find someone. I do my part fine and still feel like I only see one puzzle piece.
