I can sit with almost anyone now and help them see what the data really says. But when the honest answer is that we can't know that yet, they don't want it. They came for certainty and I have to hand them doubt, and I watch them go find someone who'll tell them what they hoped to hear. Being right and being ignored feel exactly the same from where I sit.
More people experience this than they realize.
You can find the honest answer, but people won't accept it when it isn't what they wanted.
If this sounds familiar, the Library can help you find the bigger picture.
