When I keep the whole research practice running and nobody sees it

I keep the whole research operation running, the tools, the panel, the calendar, the budgets, so everyone else can just show up and do their studies. And when it works, it's invisible; nobody thanks the plumbing. I built the thing that makes the smart findings possible, and I'm tired of being the part no one sees.
