I finally got good at writing things down, and for a while the knowledge base actually helped people. But the systems keep changing under me. Every time I update one page, three others go stale, and now half of what's in there is wrong and I can't keep up with fixing it.
More people experience this than they realize.
You can write the docs, but keeping them current as everything changes defeats you.
