When negotiating between nations means carrying enormous unseen weight

I've sat across the table from other countries and helped find the words that keep things from falling apart. It's the work of a lifetime. But when I sign my name, I know that thousands of people I'll never meet will live with what we decided, and some nights that weight keeps me staring at the ceiling.
