When nobody notices my work until something finally breaks

I can trace almost any failure back to the one thing that started it, and I keep this whole place running quietly in the background. Nobody thinks about it. The only time my name comes up is when a line goes down, and then everyone is at my door. Do it perfectly and I am invisible; miss once and I am the problem.
