I love this work and I see every day how much the library still means to the people who walk through our doors. But the budget shrinks again each year, and someone always asks, half-joking, why libraries even matter now that everything's online. Defending the worth of something I know is priceless, over and over, quietly wears me down.
More people experience this than they realize.
Constantly having to justify why your work matters slowly wears you down.
If this sounds familiar, the Library can help you find the bigger picture.
