When player choices in your game never really matter

I can build a story into a game now, with characters and turns that hold together. But when a player makes a choice, it never seems to land the way I hoped, it just funnels them back to the same place. I want their decisions to actually change things, and I can't quite make that real yet.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

You can build a game's story but can't make player choices truly matter.

If this sounds familiar, the Library can help you find the bigger picture.
