When something breaks, I restart it, and if that fails I reinstall it, and I cross my fingers. Half the time it works and I have no idea why. When it doesn't, I'm stuck, because I've never learned to actually trace what went wrong. I'm the person who knows the two tricks that sometimes work and nothing underneath them.
