When running your hours legally costs you the pay you need

I can run my clock perfectly, every log clean, every rule followed. But my pay comes from miles, and the rules that keep me legal are the same ones cutting into what I earn. I sit at a rest stop, parked and legal and losing money, worn down by a system where doing it right costs me.
