When slow bureaucracy wears down my patience at work

I chose the public sector because I wanted the work to mean something. But the endless forms and the way nothing changes for years is grinding down the drive I came in with. I still care; I'm just tired of watching good ideas die in committee while I wait for permission to do the obvious thing.
