There's the dog I couldn't save last Tuesday, and the cat before that, and the horse I had to put down while its owner sobbed. I carry each one, and lately I feel them stacking up inside me. I go home and they're still there, a growing weight of every animal I lost and every hard call I had to make.
More people experience this than they realize.
The animals you couldn't save and the hard decisions to end suffering keep piling up inside you.
