When the cap table math still trips you up

I keep our cap table and mostly I've got it. But the second someone asks how a new option pool changes everyone's ownership, or how the next round dilutes us, my confidence drains out. I nod in the meeting and then go home and stare at the spreadsheet, hoping the numbers match what I said.
