The unwritten rules here are nothing like where I came from. What counted as respect back there reads as cold here; what's normal here would've been rude where I'm from. I keep stepping on invisible wires, watching a small silence spread, and realizing too late that I broke a rule nobody ever said out loud.
More people experience this than they realize.
The unwritten rules here are different from what you know, and you keep misreading them.
If this sounds familiar, the Library can help you find the bigger picture.
