When there's no plan for the platform, just whatever screams loudest

Someone asked me what the plan is for our platform over the next year, and I realized I don't have one. I'm just reacting, fixing whatever screams loudest that week, patching whatever breaks. There's no direction, no sense of where any of this is heading, just a pile of urgent things I keep swatting. I'm busy every single day and I couldn't tell you where we're actually going.
