I want my team to like me, more than I like to admit. It's made me swallow feedback that needed saying, dodge hard calls, and let things slide that I should have dealt with. Somewhere I started confusing being liked with being a good leader, and I'm not sure they're the same thing at all.
More people experience this than they realize.
Your need to be liked keeps you from making the hard calls a leader has to make.
