Someone asked what I do for fun and I genuinely couldn't answer. The hobbies, the friends, the little interests all quietly faded out until work is pretty much the only thing left in the picture. Even if I wanted to step back, I'm not sure what I'd be stepping back to anymore.
More people experience this than they realize.
Everything outside of work has faded away until work is all that's left.
