When you ask for examples just to dodge the feedback

When someone gives me feedback, the first thing out of my mouth is "can you give me a specific example?" But I'm not really asking so I can understand — I'm hunting for a crack in what they're saying. If they can't hand me a perfect example right there on the spot, I let myself throw the whole thing out.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

You demand examples for feedback just so you can dismiss it.

If this sounds familiar, the Library can help you find the bigger picture.
